![]() Research is the cornerstone and focus of the Centre for Advanced Property Economics (CAPE). Advanced property economic theory, techniques, methods and practices in real estate, appraisal and related topics provide the nucleus of the Centre’s work product. The Centre’s Board of Advanced Research has undertaken a broad and forward looking task of researching leading edge concepts, theories, techniques, methods and practices that will benefit the public as well as the appraisal industry. The Appraisal Foundation standards of professionalism and appraisal practice are adhered to in the development of advanced research projects ensuring sound defensible and quality products. The Board of Advanced Research have or are currently undertaking several
major research projects for appraisal organizations, the appraisal industry
and other groups. The Board developed an initial glossary of appraisal
terms and terminology for The Appraisal Foundation towards achieving a
single standardized glossary and usage of terms in the industry. Other
