For Immediate Release: January 31, 2006Centre for Advanced Property Economics CHICAGO, IL. - The Centre for Advanced Property Economics (CAPE) announced the third in a series of symposia on Minerals, Water and Timber. The third symposium on Timber Valuation: “Seeing the Forest for the Trees” will be held at the Embassy Suites, 319 SW Pine Street, Portland, Oregon on Monday and Tuesday, May 1-2, 2006. The Timber Valuation Symposium will focus on “Governmental policies, regulations, codes, tariffs and taxation”, “Timber acquisitions, exchanges, valuation, litigation and consequences”, “Timber yields, products and environmental issues”, “Forensic timber analysis and natural disasters”, “Definitive research, education and practitioner’s perspectives”, and a variety of other issues facing the local, national and international timber industry.
For Immediate Release: January 11, 2006Centre for Advanced Property Economics Mr. Baker a resident of Maryland is the past Executive Vice President
for the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the past Executive Director
of the Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC). Mr. Baker was also the Valuation
Chief of the Office of Single Family Housing, U. S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development. Prior to his involvement with the ASA, he was a
private community consultant, and Vice-President of Planning and Design
with the Rouse Company.
